Well as of comparison of multiple things that I have read above are just fantastic, but the time will tell how much stars it deserve. It will be too early to pass any argument, but after reading the description, it made a satisfied that this app can give you so many things. I mean like comparing prices of flights, hotels, and insurance, its mind blowing idea. Simply loved the idea.
Do not install WebCake! By time, it slows down your PC until it breaks down. Not sure but, I believe it occupies RAM space and may cause an Unexpected Kernal Modetrap, during rebooting. Instead, run Windows Defender and have it removed. Note that most anti-virus would not find it. You may also need to reinstall Windows.
Dear User! Thank you for the report, Software Informer's in-built antivirus check also detected that WebCake includes suspicious elements. You can find the antivirus report on the download page.
Sweeten my browsing experience, well enough to make me sick. This is nothing but an invasion, and is a waste of my time and data. I think that it is cheeky and rude that someone uses something I pay for to try and sell things that are unsolicited. There must be a law against it, but in the mean time I boycott the companies and products that use Webcake for their advertising. The worst thing is that it was down loaded without my knowledge and is difficult to remove.
Discontinued? Sure, it would be nice if someone told me how to get the app off my computer. It keeps telling me that it cannot find the uninstall file but now I can't repair the download because this program is no longer downloadable.
It may not be a virus, but it is annoying. Making it somewhat difficult to get rid of seems dishonest, as does discreetly "sneaking" it into a software packages; I question the trustworthiness of the developers and distributors of this bloatware. As far as I see it, this is a pointless piece of software for those of us who are not mindless consumers.
Anyone calling this a virus or malware is a stupid. The software comes bundled into several travel apps to help compare pricing between flights, hotels, etc. If you have a travel app installed on your computer, there is a high probability that you allowed this 'extension' to download as well. Whether or not you installed it intentionally is perhaps the fault of the developer for not making it clear that you are installing this software when downloading a bundled package, but then again the next time you install software don't just go Next > Next > Next > Install > Done.
I wouldn't necessary call this a virus. It's just one of those apps that might've came in a bundle when installing a desired program. Just uninstall it.
Horrible! Virus! I unistalled it and it came back one month after. It doesn't let you work normally without an irritant advert coming up each time you open a new tab.
I have no idea how this program got into my system. I have tried to find out the usefulness but couldn't make out any and I never installed it in the first place. It must have come through some other programs. From what you guys have said here, I think it's definitely no good. I was suspicious of it too, and I'm taking it out right away. Thanks.
